Caterina Bittendorf is a climate advocate with over 14 years of experience advancing children and youth empowerment, gender equality, ACE, and sustainability. She has been active in climate action since early adolescence, focusing on justice centered approaches that elevate the voices of young people and promote inclusive, rightsbased climate policy.

Caterina is the founder of the Nordic Youth & Children Climate Conference, a regional platform strengthening intergenerational dialogue and meaningful participation in climate decisionmaking, and leading PUSH Sverige's international climate policy work. She serves on the core team developing the Global Framework on Children, Youth, Climate, Peace, and Security, to be launched at COP31, where she contributes to shaping global standards for child & youth inclusion across climate and peacebuilding processes. In 2025–2026, Caterina served as Germany’s UNFCCC youth delegate, engaging in negotiations on the Belém Gender Action Plan and Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE).

Her work bridges advocacy, policy, and research, informed by her academic background in social sciences and democracy studies, where she examined the links between democratic backsliding and the climate crisis.
