Holistic Just Transition: Energy, Food Systems, and Youth Leadership in the JTWP

This side event offers a holistic perspective on the just transition, addressing its intersection with energy and food systems, and highlighting how young people are shaping and leading this perspective. The event will explore how these intergenerational and intersectoral visions can and must be concretely reflected in the design and implementation of the UNFCCC’s Just Transition Mechanism (Just Transition Work Program), ensuring that its outcomes address the realities of rural communities, food systems, and young people’s demands for climate justice.
